OrderZone.com, LLC is a specialized software engineering and consulting firm. We are based in Chicago, Illinois. Our company was started in 2008 and is family owned and operated. We are NOT backed by venture capital or beholden to the interests of outside investors.
Our executive team came from a technology consulting background with W.W. Grainger (NYSE: GWW). Our executives designed and engineered the eZCrib vendor-managed inventory (VMI) platform for Grainger starting in 2003. eZCrib quickly evolved into Grainger’s current vendor inventory management platform, KeepStock®. For over eleven (11) years, our executive team supported and helped Grainger rapidly scale the KeepStock® VMI platform throughout North America.
As a domain name and trademark, OrderZone had a rich history of innovation. The original OrderZone was a pioneer in the very early stages of B2B Internet platforms and digital marketplaces.
OrderZone was originally launched in 1999 by maintenance MRO products distribution giant W.W. Grainger (NYSE: GWW). Grainger elected to abandon the multiple-supplier marketplace in 2001.
During OrderZone’s existence as a W.W. Grainger digital property, participating OrderZone suppliers included: Grainger Industrial Supply, Cintas Corporation, Corporate Express, Inc., Lab Safety Supply, Marshall Industries, VWR Scientific Products, Fastenal Company, and Motion industries.
