Smita is a business executive, strategic visionary, and accomplished IT leader with over 20 years experience in technology—overseeing development, distribution of technology to external customers, vendors, and clients to improve and grow the business.  

 

Prior to founding OrderZone, Smita held leadership positions at Ford Motor Company, TrackSpeed, and BDI-USA. She has deep domain expertise in technology development, AI, machine learning, SCRUM, Agile methodologies, strategic planning, leadership, and BD. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Eastern Michigan University, and a PhD from University of Mysore.

 

One of Smita’s significant professional achievements is creating, and developing KeepStock, (Industrial and MRO vending)—an inventory management platform for Grainger. She assisted with SAP S/4HANA, cXML punch-out integration, cross-referencing algorithms, and source code modifications to their primary eCommerce website (GCOM).

 

Smita has published in several journals including Pairwise Spectral Correlation of SARS–Coronaviruses for The London Journal,  Usage of ICT in Engineering Applications in Springer Publications, and Brazilian Scientist Researchers Fighting Cancer for the Brazilian Journal of Biology.

 

Smita is also an MRO products and services expert. She is the managing partner of CompleteMRO (www.completemro.com).

 

Smita is passionate about live music, reading, and traveling.  She is fascinated by natural wonders including the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls. Her favorite cities to visit are New York, Paris, and London.
